What song has a man singing in English and a woman singing in a different language?

I'm not quite sure what year the song is from, but I believe a man is
singing the majority of the song, and a Native American woman sings
with him during the chorus. Also, the man sings something like, "Lay
ee ay ay". I used to hear it a lot about 10 or more years ago, and I
remember really liking it.
